Discipline
My discipline is International commerce and policy. This discipline focuses on global affairs about business, economics, international relationships, and public policy more than MBA program. It provides the knowledge and skill about a world marketplace. Students might find work such as Corporate Planner, Foreign Service Economics Officer, Global Marketer, NGO’s, and consulting firms. In fact, some students find a internship in White house.
Academic goals
I want to understand economic and international relationship deeply after I finished this program. Most students get a job such as international organization. I need to pay attention to this field and figure out how to think as economist. As a graduate student, I would like to write a research paper or join a research project. Then, I would like to publish some outcomes.
A plan of study
This discipline requires to take these classes: PUBP 503 – Culture, Organization and Technology, ITRN 500 – Global Political Economy, ITRN 501 – Methods of Analysis for International Commerce and Policy, ITRN 503 – Macroeconomic Policy in the Global Economy, ITRN 504 – Microeconomics and Trade Policy, ITRN 602 – Global Financial Crises and Institutions, ITRN 603 – Global Trade Relations. Students must have 36 credits to graduate.
If I can not take a summer semester, I have to take a fall semester in 2017. I should make sure about this by asking academic advisor.
